2014 for us was a year of new challenges and expanding horizons. Across the board, our clients launched innovative products, opened new markets and broadened the scope of their consumer facing promotions. We partnered with Dawn Meats to consolidate their international retail labelling across 17 markets. Connacht Gold asked us to rebrand their milks range. We developed and the launched new, independent, Irish sparkling green tea brand Mariko. We even got our feet wet, so to speak, with our first foray into Ireland’s thriving craft beer scene with Four Provinces Brew Co.
We were delighted to be commissioned to produce a short film for our longstanding client, John Stone Beef, which involved shooting at three locations over several days last September. The film tracks the production of their world class dry aged beef from sustainably run farms, through their state of the art factory and finally into the very capable hands of top chef Gary O’Hanlon. The early starts were more than worth it to be able to tuck into such amazing steaks at the end of the day. You can view finished film here

It was also the year in which the Food Information Regulations came into force. As all food producers will know, the rollout of new versions of every consumer facing label in their portfolio was a mammoth task. In some cases these rollouts were straightforward back of pack copy updates, and in others they were combined with more strategic brand development. A case in point would be our recent refresh of the Finches soft drinks range for C&C Gleeson.
