Call for entries: Bord Bia Step Change Fund
Bord Bia have announced details of a new grant scheme which will provide assistance to progressive small food, drink and horticulture companies.
Director of food and beverages, Tara McCarthy advises “applicants must demonstrate new, innovative developments and activities, which will involve a considerable departure for the company, for example, a product launch on a new export market, establishing a new route to market or launching a new brand range.”
As distinct from the existing Marketing Assistance Programme (MAP), the Step Change Fund is aimed specifically at companies demonstrating significant new activities or a major new project which involves a substantial step change or departure for the company. The defined scope of eligible acitivites is quite broad, ranging from a product launch in a new export market, establishing a new route to market, to the launch of a new brand or new product range. Companies who are successful in their application will have receive individual grants of up to €50,000 to support their nominated project over a two year period.
